Post-Traumatic Stress in the Military

This piece was commissioned by RAF St Mawgan for their event exploring Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) within the forces. The rigorous research process incorporated discussions with ex members of the forces as well as staff at SSAFA as it was crucial that the performance was appropriate and relevant for this audience. The story follows two characters suffering from PTS after returning from duty, one living with his partner and children and another living with his mum and brother.

We explored the issue from the various perspectives as well as looking at the impact on self and others. The show invites the audience to look at these issues, while also considering their role in the change of culture within the forces, to make conversations around PTS more accessible.
