V.O. addresses the importance of prison visits and how prisoners maintain essential contact with family members, whilst serving a sentence.
Originally commissioned by the Ministry of Justice in 2012, V.O. initially toured to prisons in the West Midlands and was seen by 417 offenders.
The performance invites the audience to consider the importance of maintaining the role of parent and partner whilst in prison. Audience members are encouraged to provide advice for the characters to enable them to develop strategies which will enhance their ability to be a family member despite their absence.
