Inside Theatre

Inside Theatre is a five day project in which a group of offenders are enabled to create their own theatre performance.

On the final day of the project the performance is presented to an audience of other offenders, prison staff, key workers and, potentially, family and friends invited from outside the prison.

Inside Theatre projects revolve around a specific theme, which acts as a stimulus for the week’s work. Themes can be aligned to some aspect of offending behaviour, allowing offenders not only to participate in a creative process with all of the clear benefits this entails, but also to simultaneously consider aspects of their behaviour and motivations to change.
