Birmingham 2022 Festival presents two performances from Staging Recovery, an ensemble of people from the West Midlands exploring their individual and collective recovery journeys through theatre and drama. They have brought their lived experience and their connections to support agencies across the city, to gather ideas, stories and insights. Home Ground will explore the theme of ‘home’ and is based on stories gathered from people living in different communities in Birmingham.
On 3rd August, keep an eye out for the Geese flag as the ensemble will be performing scenes from Home Ground in various locations throughout Birmingham city centre.
On 4th August, you will have the opportunity to see the full performance at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, in the Participation Space of the Industrial Gallery. There will be a performance at 1pm and 3pm. Entry is free and you do not require a ticket to enter but we invite you to complete a short online form using the button below to let us know you will be coming. There are a limited number of chairs in the performance space. We will be prioritising people with access requirements. Please arrive promptly if a seat is required. Approximate running time is 30 – 45 minutes.
