At Geese Theatre Company, we deliver a wide range of training experiences, but one area we are particularly proud of is our collaborative training days for the social work workforce
These events are more than just workshops. They’re immersive, thought-provoking, and designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice. By combining live theatre performances with keynote contributions from leading voices in social work – including Ciaran Murphy, Harry Ferguson, and Lydia Guthrie – we create a space where learning becomes active, emotional, and memorable.
Community Care magazine has published an article co-authored by Ciaran and our Artistic Director, Andy, exploring why this approach is so well received by social work teams across the UK. They reflect on how theatre can illuminate complex dynamics, challenge assumptions, and provoke dialogue in a way that traditional training often struggles to achieve.
