Over the past three years we have been working in partnership with SIFA Fireside to develop creative ways of engaging with the people who use their services.
This initiative, known as ACT NOW, has used drama, theatre, and film to enable individuals to creatively explore their experiences of homelessness, housing insecurity, and rough sleeping. The ACT NOW ensemble have produced some incredibly powerful, funny, and moving films and theatre performances, and we’re proud of the partnership we’ve built with them and the dedicated staff at SIFA Fireside.
The entire ACT NOW project has been followed by the team at the Institute for Community Research and Development at Wolverhampton University and their findings will be presented at an online event this September, alongside a new documentary reflecting on the journey of the project.
