Opportunities for young people within Birmingham arts organisations

Keshena Bowie

Geese are part of a consortium of Birmingham cultural organisations who will be recruiting for apprentices and interns in 2014.  Administered by Creative Alliance, the opportunities are for young people 16-24 who are not in education or employment.

The consortium will be staging ‘Get in to Creative Employment 2014’ on Saturday 25 January at Birmingham REP from 10am to 1pm. There are 30 opportunities available within 15 organisations including Birmingham Hippodrome, Ikon Gallery, The Drum and Geese, and this fair is an opportunity for young people to come along and speak with the employers, learn about the eligibility criteria and how they can apply.

Recruitment for a Communications Assistant within the 'back stage' administrative team at Geese will take place in April and we will post all details when we have them.  However, if you know somebody who might be interested in our role - or any potential opportunities with the other organisations- please do pass on these details.
