International Women’s Day

Keshena Bowie

To mark International Women's Day, we created a short film with Iconic Productions, highlighting our work with perpetrators of domestic abuse.  Geese works with groups of men in custodial and community settings, using theatre to challenge abusive attitudes, beliefs and behaviours.

All around the world, International Women's Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women, while calling for greater equality.  We also work with women who have, or are at risk of having, experience of the criminal justice system and the use of theatre allows us to explore, discuss and problem solve issues relevant to their circumstances while providing a supportive and safe space to work on confidence and self-esteem, and share experiences.

The film, entitled Stay, is the first in a series, in which each film will focus on a different area of our work.
