Young People who Display Sexually Harmful Behaviour

Since 2001, Geese has been providing regular inputs into educational-therapeutic groups for young people who display sexually harmful and/or inappropriate behaviour. These inputs use theatre and drama techniques to explore relevant themes, including:

• positive goal setting
• old me / new me thinking
• identifying potentially high risk situations
• consequence of offending for self and others
• victim awareness and empathy
• social skills practice

These inputs are suitable for groups of young people who are involved in community based interventions, or those held in juvenile or Youth Offending Institutions.

G-MAP values Geese Theatre's input into our groupwork programme as we have confidence in their skills and knowledge in our specialist field, their work is enthusiastically received by the young people and their sessions often get to issues that are difficult to reach.
